“The Superior Doctor Treats Before Illness. Preventive Care Keeps Disease at Bay.”
— Dr. Hsiao
The concept of Preventive Medicine is to intervene before illness takes root—using various strategies to help the body stay healthy and resilient. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this idea has been passed down for centuries. The goal is to address internal imbalances before they manifest as disease.
As the body continually undergoes aging and change, imbalances are inevitable. Illness, therefore, is not an overnight event, but the result of long-term accumulation—which is why early detection and care are key.
Do I Need a Constitution Adjustment?
We categorize the body’s signals into two types:
Signs: Objective health data, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or high blood sugar. These may not cause discomfort, but clearly indicate physiological imbalances.
Symptoms: Subjective sensations of discomfort, like fatigue, insomnia, or cold limbs, despite normal lab results.
If you are experiencing either signs or symptoms, constitution balancing may help prevent future illness and improve your overall vitality.
Slow the body's drift toward disease.
Every person has a unique health trajectory—meaning preventive care must be personalized. Our first step is to evaluate your body’s current constitution and tendencies. From there, we listen to your main health concerns and work toward rebalancing your internal state, aiming to bring your body back to its center and reduce the risk of disease progression.
